The Best Of 2019
2019 has come to an end and what a year it's been! With so much to be thankful for this year, we took some time to look back at some amazing achievements from 2019. So to celebrate, we've created our top 10 Rockett St George highlights as the end of the decade draws in. Find out more below.
Our Second Book Was Published - And we took it on tour!
Co-founders, Jane Rockett (@rockettstgeorge) and Lucy St George wrote and released their second interior design book in October. Dedicated to the world of colour, this book is the second in their series of Extraordinary Interiors and discusses where to get colour inspiration and how to use it in your home. If you don't already own a copy, you can purchase the book on our website.
To celebrate the launch, we decided to get out and about in the UK and take it on tour! Beginning with our Press Launch at Sketch London, we then hosted events at Number 6 The Marylebone in London, The Edinburgh Grand Penthouse in Scotland and Whitworth Locke in Manchester. Getting to meet so many of our amazing customers in the flesh is always an amazing experience. Here's to meeting many more of you in 2020!

As part of the book launch promotion, we were also very lucky to receive lots of exciting press coverage. We'd like to mention a special thank you to top journalist, Katrina Burroughs and The Sunday Times Home for including Extraordinary Interiors In Colour in the best design books of 2019! Extraordinary Interiors In Colour also made the Amazon Bestseller list for Interior Design & Decoration! Both were total pinch yourself moments for us and we are over the moon to be included in these fabulous round ups.
Giving us their expert tips on using colour in your living rooms, kitchens and dining rooms our fabulous co-founders also got to guest blog for Livingetc in October. Using extracts from the book, Jane and Lucy offered up their top tips and inspiration for using more colour in the home.
Our Liberty London Concession Became Permanent
After a series of successful pop-up's at Liberty London, we were thrilled to make the Rockett St George concession a permanent fixture this year. Our quirky homeware and furniture concession is now permanently located on the fourth floor at Liberty London - hooray! So please, come and visit us in 2020 and see our latest bestselling and exclusive collections in the flesh. Our Charity Work
At the beginning of the year, we partnered with the wonderful Jamie's Farm in Lewes, Sussex, to transform their Farmhouse living room with Rockett St George wares. Jamie's farm is an incredible charity who works with some of the UK's most vulnerable children. A fully working farm, children from all over the country come to the farm to learn valuable life skills that transform their lives. The brief was to create a welcoming communal space for the children. It needed to be a space to retreat to at the end of a busy day on the farm. We loved taking part and you can see the full transformation on our Big Reveal Blog. Meeting the young ambassadors at Jamie's farm was an inspiring experience and we were extremely humbled by the feedback we received. Or, you can hire the farmhouse through Air BnB for a weekend break with friends or family with proceeds going to support for the charity... Plus... You'll get to experience the Rockett St George living room in person!
Also this year, we were thrilled to take part in Ennismore's fundraising event for Shelter The Storm. We donated lots of Rockett St George pieces to their 'Another's Treasure' charity sale which helped raise £20,000 for Shelter.

Our company Instagram account is a place where we like to share inspiration, customer homes and pretty much anything we find funny! We work hard on finding you the most interesting, inspiring, or entertaining content year-round and reaching a grand following of over 100k is a dream come true! Wahoo! With panoramic views across London - the MELondon penthouse suite is a total show stopper! In need of some Rockett St George magic, MELondon asked us to take over their fabulous rooftop suite. And we couldn't wait to get started! You can read about the takeover in our blog all about the collaboration.
Our Sustainability Mission Went Public
At the beginning of 2019, we decided that our focus was going to be reducing our impact on the environment. Sustainability is incredibly important to us at Rockett St George and we are continuously working on improving everything we do. In September, we published our first edition of the Rockett St George Eco Policy which details some of our biggest achievements so far to do with packaging and products and what we have planned for the next chapter.

We Collaborated with Some Fantastic People
We love collaborating with interesting and inspiring people and have had a great year working with so many. Some of our top highlights include our 10 Mins With Interview and house tour with Instagram Influencer, Lorna Luxe who actually used to work at Rockett St George and who we absolutely love and adore! Of course, we couldn't recap a great year without mentioning the wonderful Dee Campling and the Garden Takeover from the Summer.

Boy George She's Got It! Described as 'William Morris on Acid' by her friends, the spectacular home of our Co-Founder Lucy's house was featured in the Metro this year and what a feature it was! Lucy's eclectic and eccentric home is a treasure trove of curiosities that she has collected over the years. Bursting with glamour and creativity - Lucy's house is a total show-stopper!
In the summer, Jane was asked by The Sunday Times to take part in a decorating film. Her task was to redecorate a 2m x 2m white box using a theme of her choice. Opting to create a relaxing personal sanctuary, Jane focused on the importance of wellbeing in the home and talks through her design in the film created by Style Play. Wellbeing in the home will continue to be a strong theme for us in 2020. We'll be sharing top tips with to help you start the new decade in the best way possible.
E-commerce Business Of The Year Winners - Sussex Business Awards 2019
Our brand was built from the kitchen table using the founding vision to shake things up in homeware. So, winning this award was a fantastic achievement to acknowledge the past 12 years of hard work. The award is also a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has helped Rockett St George grow over the years.
