What we are looking for?

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to work as part of the team to ensure that the high standards and full circle life of goods in and goods out are maintained at Rockett St George.

You will be part of a team with a “can do” attitude, we require someone who can multi-task and have a good eye for detail. You will be part of the team who will assist with the Goods in, Picking, Packing and Dispatch. To be successful, we are looking for someone who can work well in a team, be self-motivated, independent at times, supportive of other team members, willing to support us reaching our goals, unafraid to join in as well as being safety conscious.

Previous experience working in a Warehouse would be advantageous but not necessary.

Job Description – Warehouse Operative

Day to day tasks include, but are not limited to:

Picking

  • Responsible for picking customer orders using electronic HHD (Hand Held Device) and delivering them to the packing area using any equipment appropriately
  • Ensure orders are accurate and quality checked
  • Be responsible to escalate awareness of any stock discrepancies found
  • Check to ensure all items on customer orders are correct and fulfilled

Packing and Dispatch

  • Responsible for Packing orders to be delivered in a safe and careful manner during transit
  • Ensure Quality Control Process is followed to check the customer order is correct
  • Ensure that there are no breakages within the packaging
  • Ensure the outbound package is free of damage
  • Check the customers delivery method
  • Check system for customer special requirements
  • Palletise large orders and seal all orders in shrinking plastic to ensure safety
  • Create, print and attach dispatch labels correctly
  • Ensure delivery vehicles are loaded correctly to Health and Safety Standards
  • Ensure quantity of stock is checked against internal stock management system
  • Ensure stock in Warehouse is kept tidy
  • You will take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work, along with adhering to the company’s legal requirements for Health and Safety.
  • The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation within your salary range.

Rockett St George is an online emporium selling an eclectic range of industrial-inspired furniture, lighting and homewares. We are a growing Company with great ambitions and scope for progression.

Our Customer Services department is a busy and fast-paced environment and we pride ourselves in giving our customers an excellent customer service experience. This is a key role within the Customer Service Department to enable the smooth running of orders, providing customers with the best service possible. The successful candidate will be confident in communicating on the telephone with a natural ability to chat with customers, have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure when dealing with challenging situations. Experience in an order management system is desirable. Computer literate will be required. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent customer services skills to join a growing company with great ambitions and scope for progression.

Job Summary

The job is the first point of call for the company’s customer. You will be available to provide help and support to resolve all queries received in a friendly and professional manner. This may help with processing orders, resolving problems with purchases, initiating contact with outside companies as well as internal departments.

Please note that this is an office based position and hybrid/remote working is not available.

Job Description

1. Telephone Enquiries: First point of call for all RSG customer telephone calls including:

  • Processing telephone orders.
  • Discussing and advising on product purchases and interior design.
  • Responding to enquiries on delivery timing and charges.
  • Acknowledging and responding to all courier queries and following up with the relevant courier.
  • Managing customer complaints.

2. Email Enquires: First point of call for customers contacting RSG by email and Live Chat including:

  • Providing information on products and delivery services.
  • Providing up to date lead times for customers.
  • Responding to customers with damaged items requiring refunds or replacements.
  • Interior design/style advice.
  • Managing customer complaints, and liaising with other departments to ensure queries are dealt with in a timely fashion.

3. Supporting the Customer Service Team on all other duties as and when required including:

  • Out of Stock process.
  • Customer returns and replacements.
  • Warehouse Sales.
  • Website amendments.
  • Stock Checks.
  • Working closely with the dispatch and warehouse teams.
  • Liaising with our suppliers regarding stock, orders and lead times.
  • DPD exceptions.
  • Trustpilot reviews.

The Person we are looking for:

  • Customer Service Experience essential
  • confident communicating across all platforms in a personable manner that reflects the voice of RSG
  • Excellent organisational skills & the ability to work under pressure when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Experience using the Microsoft office suite will be required. Experience using an order management system such as Orderwise & Magento would be preferable
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own & as part of a team in a busy environment
