Discover the vintage style inspiration behind our bestsellers...
Let's take it back to the beginning. Our fabulous Co-founders, Lucy St George & Jane Rockett, first launched Rockett St George in 2007 with a dream to make a career out of their shared passion for interiors. Their journey started as best friends endlessly trawling car boot sales for one-off treasures on the weekends. After being asked to source amazing vintage pieces for friends and family, their carboot ritual led them on the incredible journey to turn Rockett St George into the interiors destination you know and love today.
Inspired by their treasure-hunting origins, we take you on a journey to discover the vintage style inspiration behind the bestsellers in our collection. From style elements borrowed from iconic eras to their signature love of disco balls, art deco lighting, old-school signs and sentimental trinkets, vintage design continues to inspire Jane & Lucy far more than any interior trend.

While trends come and go, Jane & Lucy believe in surrounding yourself with beautiful pieces and quirky curiosities you love. This ethos is a founding principle of Rockett St George and it influences every new product that arrives on the site.
"We only buy what we love, and if we can’t find it, we’ll design it ourselves!", Jane Rockett & Lucy St George.
With their 20th anniversary on the horizon, our favourite design duo continue to treasure hunt across the world (and find inspiration in the car boot sales and antique fairs close to home) in their goal to create mood-boosting modern heirlooms and empower everyone to bring personality into their homes. 5 Vintage Themes To Discover
'70s Show Vintage

The 1970s era never fails to inspire us. It has often been described as ‘the decade that taste forgot’. However, we couldn’t disagree more. From cinema to music and fashion, an element of iconic seventies style has found its way onto our mood boards year after year, inspiring many of our bestselling products to date.
So much more than overpowering orange and dreaded shagpile carpets, the 1970s is synonymous with warm natural woods and rattan, earthy colour palettes and an attitude of laidback luxury. A time of fabulous creative energy, our 70s-inspired vintage products honour the retro romance of this iconic decade with a fresh perspective that suits our modern homes.
Vintage Treasures

As avid treasure hunters, Jane & Lucy are always searching for unique oddities and curiosities that capture the same joy and surge of serotonin as an epic car boot sale find. From vintage-style Santa Maria statues to maximalist Milagro hearts, Victoriana apothecary bottles and sentimental trinkets, these vintage treasures help you create an extraordinary home, filled with personal touches. These are the unique pieces that will have everyone asking, "Where did you get that?"!
Sign & Spectacle
Jane & Lucy’s love of vintage style and one-off pieces has inspired them to recreate the best parts of vintage design over the years, bringing the magic of epic car boot sale finds to fellow interior obsessives – and nothing shows this more than our collection of mirrored art. Influenced by handcrafted shop signs from the last century, statement typography is paired with witty slogans and glamorous imagery to create a contemporary take on the antique signs and display objects found hidden in flea markets across Europe.
A new take on this for 2025 steals style inspiration from vintage posters and the nostalgia of the circus rolling into town. Our new circus craze wall art brings fearless style, showmanship and eclectic energy to the home in celebration of the spectacle and magic of the travelling circus.
Vintage Vibes

Within our collection, you will find antique-style pieces in almost every category you shop. From a metal filigree wall sconce that looks like a vintage treasure shipped from Morocco to expertly aged gold furniture, nostalgic-chic chinoiserie wallpaper and deco-inspired pendants with easyfit functionality, our vintage-inspired pieces give the home a wealth of character and personality.
Disco & Deco

Disco balls have become synonymous with our signature style. We love the way they catch the light and fill a space with magical reflections that dance around from day to night. As you explore Lucy's home, you will find a collection of vintage disco balls sourced from far and wide. Similarly, Jane's home features a statement disco ball in pride of place on her dining room shelves to set the scene for romance and revelry. From colourful mirror balls to glitter ball side tables and drinks trolleys, you may have noticed that our collection celebrates disco fever at a level that rivals Studio 54.
Continuing with the glamour theme, a nod of nostalgia to the roaring twenties is sprinkled throughout our range of lighting. Embracing the beauty of Art Deco design across table lamps, wall lights and ceiling pendants, you can't go wrong with the quiet luxury that vintage style brings.
