COVID-19 UPDATE

In order to protect our customers and our staff we have closed our Sussex warehouse and offices to all visitors until further notice. 

Please note, this means that our usual Sussex Click & Collect service will not be available until further notice. If you have an outstanding Click & Collect order which you have not yet collected from us, please contact our customer service team with your order ID.

Our office teams are now working from home with our usual phonelines open weekdays from 9:30am until 5pm 01444 253391. You can also email us at contact@rockettstgeorge.co.uk or simply use the live chat box at the bottom of your screen.

Deliveries are so far completely unaffected (please see below for our courier updates) and we have taken steps within our warehouse to reduce staff numbers and increase cleaning and hygiene throughout the business.

COVID-19 - Courier Updates

DPD delivery operations are continuing as normal and are seeing extremely good service levels right across their network. DPD have implemented a number of measures in response to COVID-19, three of which are:

  • Contact free delivery is now standard process and customers will not be asked to sign handheld units. Customers will still get full track and trace functionality.
  • Cleaning has been increased throughout the business as a preventative measure, particularly on lifts, door handles etc.
  • Live bulletin and service updates available via their website.

Some DPD international deliveries are being affected by countries no longer accepting deliveries. Please check all restricted postcodes before placing international orders.

Our Premium Specialist Courier Service service providers are also following all current UK Government, NHS and Public Health England (PHE) instructions and guidance. Some of the key steps they have taken are:

  • An increased cleaning regime both within our facilities and vehicles and additional hygiene & safety equipment provided to our crews – gloves, hand wipes etc.
  • All delivery and collection services are operating on a contactless basis only. Contactless delivery handover crew will take photos of goods delivered. All deliveries / collections will be offered to / from an external location e.g. outbuilding / garage / shed / garden / porch / driveway. Our crews will take a sensible approach if requested to place items immediately inside customers’ front door / patio door.
  • Our couriers are no longer assembling / unboxing / taking away packaging. Inspection of goods will take place after the delivery has been made.
  • Collections of previously delivered items, including swap over items, can take place provided the customer has pre-wrapped the item in advance back into original packaging and has left the item in an external location for our crews to collect / swap over later.
  • For extra-large items, such as sofas, which require 2 or more-man delivery - we are happy to hold such items without storage fees until normal service can be resumed.
  • Customers are being asked screening questions to pre-advise of any self-isolation or contact with those in their household that may have been in contact with someone showing Covid-19 symptoms. 
  • Customers are being asked to keep a safe distance from our delivery crews when we enter their premises and our drivers will no longer be able to assemble any item. All handovers will be contactless – we are asking customers & crews to respect the 2m social distancing rules currently in place.

Our Delivery Charges:

We currently charge for our delivery service as we have chosen not to hide these charges within the price of our products. As a small business we are unable to take advantage of the delivery discounts available to larger companies. We work hard to find the best delivery service for every product we sell, and select a service based on the weight, size and fragility of each item.

The Jersey customs authority imposes a Goods & Services Tax (GST) on products imported from the UK with a value of over £240 (including purchase price of goods and delivery costs).   6. ITEMS CARRYING LONGER DELIVERY TIMES

    Sometimes it is not always possible for us to dispatch items to you as quickly as we would hope. The following types of products carry a longer delivery time but we promise you - they're worth the wait!

    Wallpaper

    Not all wallpapers are held in stock in our Sussex warehouse. Delivery times vary between suppliers and collections so please check individual wallpaper product pages for specific lead times.

    Unfortunately next day delivery is not available on all wallpaper. If you purchase next day delivery then your delivery will be upgraded as soon as it is ready for dispatch.

    Wall Stickers

    Our wall stickers are made to order so delivery will be approximately 5-7 working days.

    Our paint ranges are mixed to order, so delivery will be approximately 5-7 working days. We regret that we can only send paint to mainland UK addresses.

    Bespoke / Personalised Orders

    Large & Fragile Delivery Service

    We aim to have all large and fragile items delivered within 7-14 days. Once your order has been placed we will contact you with delivery date options via our personal courier service.   7. FREE DELIVERY CODES AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    Free Delivery Codes

    Valid free delivery codes can be only be redeemed against our UK Standard Delivery service. They are not redeemable against any other delivery method and therefore are not valid on specialist courier items such as Large / Fragile items.

    Free delivery codes are not eligible for use in conjunction with any other offer or promotion, including sale.

    Where's your order?

    If your expected delivery date has passed and you are still without your delivery then please contact the customer services team immediately.

    We are unable to investigate any parcels after 28 working days.
