Our last trend edit for 2023 is the fabulous Fruit & Forest trend!

In short, this look takes inspiration from all things edible. We are firm believers that life is too short to take home design too seriously. Instead, styling your home should be a fun and freeing journey that allows you to experiment with colour, pattern and anything else that makes you happy along the way. So, why not take inspiration from your plate as a playful approach to adding colour to the kitchen?

Firstly, this trend explores statement ceramics inspired by five-a-day heroes. Moreover, influenced by the recent fashion for foraging, magical mushrooms join the party to complete the look. Perfect for creating a colourful indoor/outdoor tablescape of dreams, our SS23 Fruit & Forest collection brings attention to your table!

Trend Moodboard

“Celebrating the second love of our lives – food – our SS23 collection includes a fabulous assortment of tableware that takes inspiration from both the fruit bowl and the forest. As a result, colourful grapefruit bowls sit alongside watermelon plates and avocado measuring bowls in this range. Unique, colourful and quirky, the Fruit & Forrest trend is designed to make you smile. For example, it’s hard not to feel happy eating cereal from a watermelon bowl or seasoning your meal with a toadstool salt shaker!

Many of the best conversations and memories happen across the dinner table over great food and wine. So, it makes sense to create to celebrate the power of food for bringing people together. In addition, as the weather heats up, al fresco dining is back on the menu. From citrus plates to chilli serving boards, nothing says summer like the Fruit & Forest tableware collection. And personally, we can’t think of a better way to get your five-a-day!” Jane Rockett

Fruit & Forest Colour Palette

The Fruit & Forest colour palette is all about bright pops of colour that bring joy. Therefore, you can expect to see rich watermelon red and gorgeous citrus tones, from lime to lemon. Above all, this trend embraces having fun with your table styling. In other words, why settle for plain white plates when you can display a quirky cabbage plate at each place setting?! From primavera greens to ice cream pink and banana yellow, a colourful table is destined to impress in the dining room or the garden.

To embrace the Fruit & Forest look in your home, there are no real rules. So, set the table in fruity style with the avocado nesting bowls for snacks, the watermelon plate for charcuterie and the grapefruit plate and bowl sets for the main event. Celebrating the kitsch side of style, a mismatch of fruit/vegetable designs and colours adds to the playful nature of this trend. In conclusion, if you love it then it deserves a place on your table. With retro influences throughout the collection, why not experiment with a retro menu to match? Anyone for a banana split?

Designed for every meal, our SS23 tableware collection is the perfect expression of summer spirit. However, these fabulous designs also work throughout the rest of the year. For instance, the Green Cabbage Bowl can be filled with roasted root vegetables in winter. In addition, the chilli serving plate makes a great cheese board to pair with a glass of red! So, whatever the season, we recommend indulging in the Fruit & Forest trend!
