Be sure to consider what direction your house is facing as the direction of the light can affect how a room looks. Southern facing rooms receive warm yellow colours, whilst northern facing rooms typically receive a cooler, blue light. - Furniture. Now the walls are painted its time to chose your furniture! Take your time with this, it's much better to take your time choosing pieces that you love then making quick and impulsive decisions, even if it means living with an empty space for a little while. - Lighting is key! Lighting is integral to setting the tone and mood in your living room, so don't neglect it! With an emphasis on rich colour palettes, golden details and an eclectic edge, you can create a living room that is roaring with glamour with a few easy touches.
