For The December Hot List 2019, we've asked co-founders of Rockett St George - Lucy St George and Jane Rockett (follow Jane on Instagram here) to share their December favourites with us.
1.The RSG Product that I want to take home this month is...
Jane Rockett: I love a statement chair, you can never have too many. So, I'm loving our new own-brand Woven Butterfly Armchair. With is a mix of woven natural rattan and black edging the beautiful chair will seamlessly fit with any interior style. I have the perfect spot for this in my home.
Lucy St George: For me, it just has to be the Hand-Painted Oriental Headboard. This will look fabulous in my dark bedroom adding a touch of girly glam.
2. The exciting project that I'll be working on at Rockett St George this month is...
Jane Rockett and Lucy St George: Researching and planning our business strategy for 2020.
3. My highlight of 2019 was...
Jane Rockett: Researching, writing, photographing and launching our second book; Extraordinary Interiors In Colour.
Lucy St George: I agree with Jane. Our second book was an interesting and eye-opening journey into colour. In addition, I loved meeting the fearless homeowners. All of them who confidently owned their styles, let us into their homes and gave us their tips and tricks for using colour in their own homes. Likewise, another highlight was taking the book launch on tour. The highlights being meeting our fabulous customers in London, Edinburgh and Manchester. A truly lovely, loyal and fun and fantastically fabulous group you are.
4. The interior trend that I think we'll see a lot of in 2020 is...
Jane Rockett: Nature. I think we'll see a surge of natural textures in the home. So, think coloured marble and matte limestone, to dried flowers, eco advances and classic organic textures. Whilst, at the same time, I think that rich wood textures and laid back linens will remain a key consideration. One thing that I would note is that natural doesn’t necessarily mean minimal. We’re excited to see nature react with luxury materials for a more eclectic, indulgent interior.
Lucy St George: Grown-up glamour! Inspired by the roaring twenties and rise of the iconic Art Deco era, glamour is back for 2020 and bigger than ever. We all deserve a little luxury in our lives and as we move towards staying in and entertaining at home, decadent décor schemes should be celebrated.
5. My top Christmas decorating tip is...
Jane Rockett: I love the soft romantic light of candles at Christmas. In particular, I like to cluster them together at different heights.
Lucy St George: Our paper honeycomb balls are great for Christmas. There are so many things you can do with them. Add them to the bannisters with foliage, create a wreath, or simply hang them to the ceiling or the wall. No matter where you style them, they will add instant colour and texture to your home.
6. My favourite Christmas Film is...
Jane Rockett: Elf.
Lucy St George: The Grinch.
7. All I want for Christmas is...
Jane Rockett: A large glass of wine and a cheeseboard.
Lucy St George: You .........! Whoever is reading this, to have a great Christmas, with love from Rockett St George x
