For our latest shopping edit, we have asked the fabulous Charley Webb to select her favourite Rockett St George pieces!
A fantastically talented actress, Charley is best known for appearing in Emmerdale as Debbie Dingle - a soap that she has acted in since she was 14! Married to Matthew Wolfenden and a mother of two, we were thrilled to learn that Charley is a huge RSG fan! Charley has lots of our home accessories, artwork and lighting in her home. How cool is that?!
Charley has an eye for quirky and eclectic pieces and what we particularly love is that she curates pieces for her home that she knows her whole family will love. So we've caught up with the brilliant Charley to have a sneak peek at her amazing home as well as to see what Rockett St George products she would choose so that you can shop it too!
CHARLEY WEBB'S HOME
IN CHARLEY'S WORDS...
"We restored and repainted a reclaimed circular mirror, which we hung in our living room. Although proud of our efforts, it did look a little lost and wasn't the stand out feature we thought it would be!
However, after buying the metallic wings and hanging them either side of it, it has become a real focal point in the room; one which people always ask; 'Where did you get that from?'"
"Photographs nowadays are usually destined for a lifetime inside a phone memory, downloaded on to a laptop or stuck in the “iCloud”, (wherever that is), most never see the light of day!
These frames not only look fantastic on our wall, but have made me get a little “old school”, and actually print out the best of my many digital memories.
I printed my pictures in black and white and displayed the frames in a random formation on a dark coloured wall; they look great."
3. UNICORN WALL HANGING*
"When we were redecorating our living room, I decided that I wanted to add a few fun pieces to the decoration. I didn't want the overall look to be too....well....boring!
We have two young children and I wanted the space to have things in it that they would like too.
I love this unicorn wall hanging, it makes me smile every time I look at it, and the kids are constantly trying to throw things up at it and trying to get them on the unicorns golden horn. Many a time I've come in to find a pair of school trousers draped over it!"
*Please note, we no longer sell the Unicorn Wall hanging but we have lots of other fabulous and quirky wall art that you can shop here.
"I've bought two of these and displayed them along with the brass and glass picture frames.
They look great and are full of little memories; things that the kids have collected on days out over the years. Things that kids love to keep, like; feathers and seashells and pebbles from the beach."
5.ANTIQUE BRASS CEILING LIGHT WITH TURTLE SHADE
"We have just had the kitchen decorated, in dark grey. The gorgeous green light with the gold inside really stands out against the dark units to create a real focal point in the kitchen."
6.THE PINK PENCIL CANVAS
"This canvas is the first thing people will see as they come into our home. It’s a really fun piece and people often have to look twice before noticing that its not your average classical painting!"
7.WILD CERAMIC PLATES; DYLAN DOG AND COURTNEY CAT
"Our kids love these plates. We do often have fights though -who gets to eat off Dylan Dog! He seems to be the favourite."
8.BEAUTIFUL CHAOS PICTURE*
"I recently took a picture of this and posted it on social media, with the caption “this sums up our house brilliantly”. So many people replied saying; “That sums our household up too” and “where’s that from?”, “I want one”, “This is our house too!”.
We put this picture in a lovely gold frame and it looks perfect on our dark navy living room wall.
When the house is chaotic, the kids are fighting and the dog is barking at next doors cat, I just look up at it and I'm comforted. I remember all those other peoples responses; So, it's not just our family then.....Phew!"
*Please note, we no longer sell the Beautiful Chaos Art Print but we have lots of other fabulous wall art prints that you can shop here.
"Pineapples seem to be all the rage at the moment, and I for one love them. I have several pineapple shaped things dotted about the house, from candles to bookends, but my favourite of all are these wall lights.
As I have said; our living room is painted in quite a dark navy, these gold lights on such a dark wall look incredible. They not only light up the room but are also great feature piece too."
"I've ALWAYS had cotton duvet covers in the past, but a friend of mine had recently bought these linen ones from Rockett St George. She said how gorgeous they were and that I had to try them.
I bought some that day, and she wasn’t wrong.
I love them, they look great on our bed and feel fantastic. In fact, I love them so much I got them in pink as well."
"This chandelier looked so good on the website I had to have it for our bedroom! I wasn’t disappointed when it arrived. It’s handmade, so no two are the same, and it is beautiful.
We put a vintage filament bulb in it and it’s definitely brought a touch of luxury to our bedroom."
12.PORCELAIN WALL LIGHTS - BEAR AND RABBIT
"We bought these for the children's playroom. They look great on the wall, even when they're not switched on, but when they are switched on, they look even better and give the room a lovely warm glow."
"These gorgeous large cushions look great on our bed. They make a lovely contrast to the grey linen duvet cover, adding a splash of colour to our bedroom."
"Our little monkey is high up on our living room wall where our other little monkey (Bowie 2) can’t reach the scented candles that we put on it; as he likes to blow them out when we’re not looking.
This shelf not only looks cool and is a bit different, but it’s also very useful to have when we want to keep our candles flickering away and our room smelling nice."
