The long awaited day is finally here... Mexican tapas restaurant Wahaca opens in Brighton today! Being locals, we thought we would celebrate in the best way we know how - by reveling in the brilliance of their interior design (and eating our hearts out this evening!)

We love street food, and Wahaca have continued to maintain the sense of vitality, community and effortlessly fun atmosphere through their decor even as a popular chain. The interior design salutes the origins of Mexican street food through exposed urban-inspired walls of plywood, corrugated iron and concrete, with a nod to the more traditional with leather seating and colourful wall art.

Each restaurant differs slightly to avoid a 'template' feel, with Wahaca taking pride in showcasing street and graffiti artists’ work in its restaurants - we're excited to see what Brighton has to offer! Featuring beautiful murals by Mexican street artist and activist Mazatl, Wahaca has also just been awarded the first Carbon Neutral restaurant group in the UK (so you can feel even better about dining out!) Not to mention their delicious margaritas...

Here's our Get The Look guide for brand new Wahaca Brighton...
