The interior design of NYC so often reflects all that we love at RSG. We can't get enough of all the exposed brick, tin tiles, dark wood and tall windows. Our Co-Director Jane Rockett has just returned from a weekend getaway with a long list of places to sleep, eat and shop for treats, so we've pulled together a go to guide for exploring THE city. New York, New York....
Black window frames, intriguing art, dark beams, amber lights and leather sofas. Sigh... The Ludlow is at the heart of the Lower East Side, featuring a decor that provides constant sources of inspiration. With the fun neighbourhood vibe and gorgeous bedroom views it is the perfect place to lay your head (when you find the time..!)

The best interior design in a restaurant EVER. Set back from the main street, Freeman's is nestled away like a secret hideaway behind tall leafy plants, but beckons you in with delicate festoon lighting. The atmosphere is so relaxed and fun, with a fantastic menu (hearty stews, broths and steaks) and creative cocktails to top it all off. The taxidermy, bright floral displays and layers of wood tick all the eclectic boxes, creating an almost Lynchian vibe that we can't help but adore. Intimate, clever and abundant in antlers: perfect.

The Chelsea Market is buzzing with activity thanks to all the amazing food shops and eateries. Cull & Pistol celebrate the fishmonger traditions and culinary diversity of New York through seasonal and innovative seafood dishes. We can totally vouch for their delicious oysters and lobster, as well as the Love Potion chilli sauce which we purchased next door at the fish market! The structure of the market itself is beautiful to be in. Surrounded by stripped brick walls and towering ceilings creates a feeling of exploration - uncovering one incredible eatery at a time...

DRINK: SCHILLER'S LIQUOR BAR
Schiller's looks amazing. The bar itself has a really classic feel to it, with layers of coloured glass popping from the dark wood and white tiled walls. The chequered flooring paired with traditional ceiling fans remind us of an authentic diner, whilst the black window panes and dim wall lights conjur thoughts of an old-school NYC speakeasy. Schiller's Liquor Bar scores huge RSG points for the neon signage outside, and the specialty cocktails indoors get a yes from us.

Here's a sneak preview of our other highlights (there are so many!) including dinner at Locanda Verde, gorgeous flooring at the Reynard, window displays at ABC, inside Chelsea Market and more stunning MOMA art.
