Berlin is an area of rich cultural history, amazing architecture, even more inspiring interiors and host to many unique shops, bars and galleries. It just happens that a few of the team have been jetting off to the city this year, so we thought it high time to revisit our favourite locations from in and around the remarkable city...

Love authentic and delicious street food? Markthalle Neun is for you. This indoor market is packed with varying global cuisine to feast on and communal areas to socialise in on your trip. If you've been exploring the East Side Gallery and viewing the Berlin wall, it's a great place to go afterwards to strip off the scarf and gloves, warm up and enjoy some truly exceptional grub.

Whether you fancy meats, vegetarian, coffee, wine, tapas, burgers, beers, cannelloni or pastries there is definitely plenty to choose from!

Dress your best and immerse your tastebuds in delightful flavours! Noto is a step above the rest, offering starters like apple and creme fraiche soup, mains of roasted cauliflower, harissa, almonds and apricot and desserts you thought you could only dream of...

With high praise from The New York Times, you must stop by for an exquisite three course meal to remember! Noto is perfect if your trip away is for a special occasion, but there's no reason why you shouldn't book in just to spoil yourself - we did!

Torstaße 173 10115 Berlin

Stop by the dark and decadent ground floor bar in the Hotel Amano for intense drinks and mysterious Bond vibes. Very dimly lit and boasting earthy tones and blacks with low sofas, glass tables and a second-to-none cocktail experience, you'd be sorry to miss out on this classy joint. Expect absinthe infused concoctions and an extensive gin collection provided by their award winning mixologists.

Whether you prefer to sit at the long stretch of marble bar or lounge in their communal seating areas, you'll be sure to stay a little longer than intended thanks to the perfectly laid back and comfortable ambiance of the place. The Amano Bar is the perfect way to start off an evening in style.

Auguststraße 43, 10119 Berlin

If you love fantastic food, style and atmosphere, then a stay in Soho House Berlin will totally satisfy these needs - and some! The Grade-II listed building is in a perfect central location, providing a rooftop bar and kitchen, club bar, Cowshed spa, bedrooms, apartments and lofts. We simply can't stay anywhere else since first booking in, which is mostly down to the food and decor! The Soho House Sunday Breakfast is heavenly with an atmosphere that is constantly buzzing. We are obviously in love with the industrial luxe design...expect to be in awe at every corner.

Torstraße 1, 10119 Berlin

We have found our Aladdin's Cave. Anything from records, books, clothing, and furniture can be found at this Flea Market. The bustling neighborhood atmosphere is so welcoming, and we felt totally at home doing what we do best: browsing antiques and picking out the gems from the junk.

Located in the popular and stylish Mitte, the leafy Arkonaplatz is surrounded by cafes where you can enjoy a brunch stop after a morning of bargain buying. Colourful, historical, traditional and quirky - perfect.

We were absolutely thrilled to come across this earthy bohemian shop! Wild Heart Free Soul offer vintage nomadic kilim rugs, hammam towels, Suzani fabrics, copperware and nomadic jewelery adorn the walls and shelves in a colourful display. Based on traditional Turkish textiles, all their products are beautifully woven and feature meaningful patterns and symbols.

We can't resist a handmade cushion or rug, and their selection is exceptional! If it weren't for suitcase space we'd have cleared the whole store... The handmade Turkmenistan jewellery is perfect if you love an ornament statement piece like us, and we love the layout of the shop itself. The low hanging bulbs, scaffold leg tables and wall lights add a modern urban twist to their natural traditional items. Brilliant.

Elisabethkirchstr. 13, 10115 Berlin-Mitte

Well, obviously we went shopping. Voo is our favourite men and women's clothing and concept store in Berlin. They place a huge emphasis on design and creativity, and what we really appreciate is the quality craftsmanship of every item in their shop. Look out for labels like Acne, Nike and an array of smaller independent names.

Not only offering a range of streetwear, high fashion and gifts, you can also enjoy tasteful coffee from Voo's in-store Companion Coffee Showroom that serves specialty coffee, tea, and baked goods. They also provide a space for music, design and art by hosting exhibits, readings and concerts. They've really got it all. Don't miss this one!

Oranienstraße 24, 10999 Berlin

Where to start? We can't get enough of Art. Set in a 19th century railway station, Museum Fur Gegenwart currently houses a huge range of work from Warhol to must-see film installation 'Manifesto' featuring actress Cate Blanchett. We loved the variety of interactive exhibitions to experimental photography, illustration and sculpture. The building itself is expansive, consisting of the giant main lobby and gallery hall (above), two wings and an newer build that is accessible by a passage designed to look like the underground. Even if you aren't interested in the beautiful and intriguing collection of artwork (you will be!), the building alone is enough to spark enough inspiration for your entire trip.
