Welcome to the September Hot List!

Wow - September came around quickly didn't it?! This is usually the time we all busy ourselves to get organised for the season ahead, so with that in mind, we thought we'd offer you up some fun things to see and do, to enjoy the last of the Summer in style.

To start with, we have an incredible piece of art work for you to WIN - scroll down for the full details and start planning where you'd hang the newly launched and totally beautiful Still Life Canvas by Young & Battaglia and Himitsuhana. We're so not ready to give up on Summer just yet... A fun and fruitful beer and cider festival is heading to Kings Cross on the 10th and we're first in line! We'll be reminiscing at an outdoor film night at Hampton Court Palace and have discovered a morning rave for you to consider (yes, I said rave). If you're a lover of art with a message and partial to a theme park, then make sure you head along to Banksy's Dismaland (on until the 27th) - everyone is talking about it.

How are your succulents doing? They were all the rage this Summer along with cacti and macrame hanging baskets and we've found the next big thing - Kokedamas. It's a Japanese varient on the bonsai that will make an uber stylish addition to your miniature garden. Tina B has treated us to another cracking playlist, this time inspired by her up-coming trip to New York (we're all rather jealous). PLUS - we have found the best ice cream sandwich you will ever taste! #sorrynotsorry

PS. Don't forget about the London Open House Weekend on the 19th where you can take a nose around the capitals most secretive buildings.

- September 2015 -

'Still Life' is part of the renaissance collection by Young & Battaglia and features a large ornate frame digitally printed onto canvas. This beautiful print is a collaboration between Young & Battaglia and digital artist Himitsuhana. Combining the modern with traditional, it is reminiscent of the classic Dutch masters paintings. The painting features a traditional style still life, but with a ladies hand elegantly dripping bright yellow paint over the vegetable bowls.

Due to the stunning nature and size of this canvas, it would make an ideal feature piece in your home and comes with a cleverly integrated large ornate frame, printed onto the canvas, and saving you from having to go out and find that perfect frame! Made in England and printed onto the finest quality canvas - Enter now for you chance to make it yours!

The Green Man Festival is bringing their love of Welsh Beer and Cider to London this September for 'One Beast of a Beer Festival'. Head to Kings Cross to sample the very best from independent breweries while enjoying live music, entertainment and interactive brewing workshops. There is something other-worldly about attending a festival in London - it transports you to an alternative place where everybody is friendly and the rat-race commute is a distant memory. After a few jars the hairy 'monsters' that'll be roaming around will feel like home.

Courtyard 10th - 13th September, Lewis Cubitt Square, Kings Cross N1C 4AB.

The biggest project from street artist Banksy has opened it doors this month - a 'bemusement' park called Dismaland which is described as both thought-provoking and shocking. This hilarious family amusement park-come-exhibition does not offer your usual theme park entertainment; featuring a Cinderella crash scene and cardboard airport security upon arrival. Bansky has hand-picked his favourite artists from around the world to showcase their work, including Damien Hirst, Jenny Holzer and Jimmy Cauty.

Sarcastic and ironic, this exhibition highlights real-life political issues with a strong whiff of anarchism thrown in - not to be missed.

Dismaland is situated on the seafront in legendary Weston-super-Mare and is easily accessible by train, bus and road. Marine Parade BS23 1BE. Tickets are £3, on sale now. Exhibition closes September 27th 2015.

We're huge fans of the creative workshops available at BoxPark in Bethnal Green. Their new offering is no exception. Kokedama, a variant on Japanese bonsai, is a hot new trend. These stylish plants can be hung anywhere and transform the most petite of spaces into a beautiful miniature garden. The perfect accompaniment to your succulents and cacti which have also received lots of attention over the Summer.

The Kokedama workshop will teach you how to create your own hanging garden, converting your regular potted house plants into a trendy new sculptural designs.

Tuesday September 8th, 6-7.30pm. Tickets are £25 and available here.
