Welcome to the March 2015 Hot List!

With the Easter holidays around the corner we have been thinking of fun days out for everyone and have found some fab things to keep you entertained...

We have lined up a delicious competition with artisan bakery Meg Rivers Cakes so you can have your cake and eat it ...all year round! Check out our favourite pics from Instagram, this month's best blogger and our top movie soundtrack songs to keep your playlist bopping! We've got a cracking British Independent Film to tell you about and a grown-up foodie fun feast at Hawker House in London. We also couldn't let March pass us by without paying homage to the Alexander McQueen exhibition 'Savage Beauty', launching at the V&A on the 14th - not one to miss.

Have a fabulous month!

with love,

& the Rockett St George Team

This very exciting prize has caused quite a stir in the RSG office. We have collaborated with the Meg Rivers Artisan Bakery to give you the chance to become part of their popular Cake Club for one whole year. Imagine that - a cake delivered to your door every month. We can't think of anything better!

How does it work? Each month you are sent a different cake, and you get to play taster. We love the Coffee & Walnut, the Lemon Drizzle, the Elderflower and Gooseberry... Well all of them really! This is the perfect gift for any true cake fan, win your 12 month membership by entering the competition below.

The company began in a small Warwickshire village inspired by Meg Rivers passion for baking delicious cakes using only the most fresh and natural ingredients without the use of colourings or preservatives. The bakers at Meg Rivers continue to use the original recipes and methods created by Meg Rivers, decorating each cake by hand and delivering to your door.

Since we first heard the Alexander McQueen 'Savage Beauty' exhibition would be coming to our favourite Art & Design Museum, we could hardly contain our excitement. We have finally got our hands on some tickets and will be heading to the show to celebrate the extraordinary talents of the late designer. Whether you are a fan of Fashion, Design & Textiles or simply curious - this is an exhibition that you really should make time to see. It has broken ticket sale record history at the V&A and became the second biggest show ever at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Alexander McQueen carved out a highly successful career in fashion and is one of our modern iconic and innovative designers that will be talked about and treasured for many many years to come.

14th March - 2nd August 2015. To sign up to the V&A newsletter for more information on tickets, opening times and workshops please see the website:

As you may have gathered - we love great food. And with it, great music too. We talk about it a lot and have recently become obsessed with London's bountiful 'Street Feast'. However, with the weather as grim as it has been, we understand that outdoor socialising is not for everyone. So, we are hugely pleased to have discovered Street Feast's new venture - Hawker House. Enjoy three-storeys of food, drink & music from our favourite vendors - including B.O.Bs Lobster, Breddos and Yum Bun, every Saturday & Sunday from 5pm - all, crucially, indoors. There is a Whiskey Roulette bar in the style of a casino and glorious cocktails from the masters at Milk & Honey on the top floor.

Hawker House 260-264 Kingsland Road, London E8 4DG

With so many incredible images at our fingertips these days we have become a big lover of the re-gram (insta-talk for re-post!) and we realise that you guys love it too. We decided to take a look back over the last few weeks and share again the most loved images from our Instagram feed. Image 1 + 5 feature @rockettstgeorge (of course!) - a few of our new products launched this month. Image 2 is a re-gram from interior design masters @designhunter - follow these guys for the most amazing interior inspiration everyday. Image 3 is from one of our favourite magazines, @livingetcuk, always guaranteed to make us swoon! The creator for Image 4 took a while to track down as we first discovered it on Pinterest. We believe this is the home of Monique Meij-Beekman's, an artist and interior designer based in the Netherlands, photographed by Sarah Van Hove (we can't find Sarah on Instagram but for all you Pinterest lovers - her boards are great!).

Make no mistake, this film is not fluffy, nor particularly happy. But there are some humorous moments dotted throughout this violent drama. It is a powerful and gritty story about a British-Asian teenager (Laila) who is on the run from her family, hiding in Yorkshire with her boyfriend (Aaron). As her family catch up with her, tragedy prevails. Both ambiguous and unpredictable - the trailer doesn't give away a thing, except the tone to expect. A grimly impressive debut British Independent Film from brothers Daniel and Matthew Wolfe.

In cinemas from 27th Feb, check your local cinema listing for details and tickets.

Garance Doré is one of the best blogs we have come across of late. Packed full of inspiration from make-up and Fashion to Interiors and recipes. This is serious, grown-up cool all wrapped up in wonderfully stylish way. French illustrator and writer Garance started the blog in 2006 by way of communicating her stories, dreams and ideas. The blog is a great read and available in both English and French. Pictured above is the TriBeCa suite of the Greenwich Hotel in New York.
