The more you invest in a marriage the more valuable it becomes.  Men who have a pierced ear are better prepared for marriage, they have experienced pain and bought jewellery. Newlyweds become oldyweds, and oldyweds are the reason that families work. A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.  Marriages are made in heaven, but so are thunder, lightning, tornadoes and hail.  Marriage is the alliance of two people, one of whom never remembers birthdays and the other who never forgets them.  Happy marriages begin when we marry the one we love, and they blossom when we love the ones we marry.  Never go to bed mad, stay up and fight. The secret to a good marriage is understanding that it must be total, it must be permanent and it must be equal. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance. Marriage is more than finding the right person.  It is being the right person. A heart in love hears music even when there is silence.

As the base for the artwork we have chosen a natural limestone with a warm, creamy colour and soft white undertones. This has been given a tumbled finish (this is a process by which stone is tumbled or vibrated with smaller abrasives to produce an aged appearance) which results in a rough and pitted surface with broken, rounded edges and corners.

The stone tablet is then overprinted with distressed typography, which follows the contours of the pitted stone to give a lovely touchy-feely piece of artwork.

Available Framed or Unframed
The stone tablet can be purchased unframed and looks great leaning on a bookcase or mantle, or it can be framed to hang on a wall.

The frame is handmade using reclaimed antique Victorian roof timbers. We purposefully retain any defects in the timber to add to the charm and character of the piece. These can include knot holes, nail holes, warps and water marks, so each frame is totally unique.
