Float Retro Sofa by Parlour Furniture

This retro style sofa is designed to look like it's floating. It's beautifully handcrafted in walnut with dovetail joints at the front and back. The front is supported by two clear acrylic feet which creates the 'float' affect. It is covered in 'craggen'; a gorgeous wool fabric with a contemporary twist, which is grey with an orange background. Cushions not included. Handcrafted in England by the very lovely Parlour partnership. 

As soon as I saw this beautiful sofa I started saving for one.  I just love the use of wood - beautiful.

Parlour Furniture was launched in 2006 by Garry Smith. He studied cabinet making and wood machining at London Guildhall University. This was followed by a BA (Hons) Furniture Design and Finecraftmanship at Buckingham and Chilterns University in High Wycombe, under the tuition of Hugh Scriven – designer maker.  Garry recently won the Leeds Emerging Artist Award 2010 for his creativity and unique designs and has achieved press coverage for his work in London, Yorkshire and the North East.   Gary has now taken on his wife Deb as his first apprentice.
