These iconic Plastic Armchairs were presented by Charles & Ray Eames as part of the famed New York Museum of Modern Art competition "Low Cost Furniture Design". Their organically shaped plastic seat shells were later combined with various different bases to result in the design becoming the iconic chair they are today. In their latest version by Vitra the Eames Armchair Rocker RAR is made of polyproplylene and offer even greater sitting comfort.
The Charles & Ray Eames Armchair R-Wire Base DAR measure h 805 x w 625 x d 600mm. The seat shells are dyed throughout polypropylene, four legged braced chromed wire base.. The Eames Armchair is available in black, poppy red, white, ocean, mauve grey, cream, stone white and mustard.
This R-Wire Base DAR chair is with seat upholstery which is available in the following colours; dark grey, orange, nero, petrol/chocolate, nero/chocolate, chocolate/grey, grey, avocado, cognac/avocado, red/cognac, cognac, red/champagne and red/orange.
